Vitamins and Supplements
A question all anxiety sufferers have is what vitamins can I take to help! We all look for the same magic cure!
I am not going to advise you to take any specific supplements - this choice needs to be down to you. Generally I say, if it helps, keep taking it, even if it is the placebo effect.
What I will say is it is important to to get the right information on supplements that can help. So with that in mind, I would like to introduce you to examine.com.
This is an excellent website that can tell you, using science based research evidence what can and can’t help anxiety (or any other ailment for that matter).

PLEASE NOTE - I am not advising you to take any specific supplements - this is a decision you need to make on your own. My only suggestion is that you use examine.com to make your informed decisions.
What supplements do I take
As of writing this on 13th November 2023 this is a list of the supplements I take. If I am honest, they don’t really do much, but I think I get some comfort from taking them.
Kalms Night Tablets - Although they are night tablets, I often take them during the day too. They don’t do much but seem to offer some comfort
Valerian Plus Tea - This is one tea that I drink. Again, doesn’t do much but valerian is supposed to help
Clipper Chamomile Tea - Chamomile is supposed to be a mild sedative
Clipper Sleep Easy - These tea bags are an infusion of a few things including chamomile and valerian. They also contain cinnamon and some orange flavouring
My tea recipe
The way I drink my tea is as a mix of all tea bags in the same cup as follows;
2 Valerian Plus Tea Bags
1 Chamomile
1 Sleep Easy
Again, it doesn’t really do much, I just think it’s comforting to think it might help a little bit.
Do with this information as you will! :)
Supplements
Following some research I did on examine.com, there are some promising results for Lavender Oil and Magnesium Bisglycinate. Having tried both of these, I had some relief from Lavender Oil by maybe 2-3%. Magnesium had no impact to my anxiety at all but did seem to help my sleep. I have since stopped taking both Lavender and Magnesium as the benfits were so minimal.
